Lauren & Griffin: Block 41

We like to affectionately call Lauren and Griffin's wedding day "the last party in Seattle!" because it slid in just one day before Washington banned all large gatherings due to COVID19. And boy are we glad that we got to celebrate Lauren and Griffin's love! I knew in the first five minutes of meeting Lauren that I wanted to work with her and her husband-to-be. Lauren has an infectiously happy, bubbly, yet chill personality that I want around me at all times. She was the most relaxed, laid back bride I have ever worked with and she is also a kick butt medical professional who went right back to work after her wedding to help in the COVID19 fight. She is a total rockstar. The planning process was so smooth with Lauren and Griffin and they both had killer design instincts. We went with a color palette of dark emerald green, white, and black for a really modern, cozy feel. Lots of candles, lots of greenery, and exclusively white flowers dominated the day. We added a little luxury with velvet green napkins and modern flatware which played well with the uber modern backdrop of Block 41 in downtown Seattle.

Lauren and Griffin put their own spin on the day through their custom napkins with the adorable Penny, their pup, on them, had His, Hers, and Ours signature cocktails, hired Blue Wave Band to play all of their favorite music, and opted for a pizza bar instead of a formal plated meal. We loved that these really made the day theirs and reflected their fun, chill personalities.
