Jen and Steve worked with us to create a fun, elegant summer wedding. The day began with a sweet ceremony in the Rose Garden at the Woodland Park Zoo, complete with doggie ring bearers (of sorts) and a beautiful gazebo backdrop. The pair had visited the rose garden a year prior to their wedding and Steve proclaimed "how are there not people lining up to get married here?" They easily knew it was where they wanted to have the ceremony.
The reception was hosted in the Fremont Abbey just down the road from the ceremony and was classic and beautiful. With pops of navy and gold with plentiful greenery, it was a stunner! We loved that they opted to forgo a traditional plated dinner and instead had a family style meal. It was important to the couple that it felt comfortable and homey for their guests. The family style meal from Twelve Baskets definitely helped achieve this. Courtney Bowlden Photography captured all of the design details as well as the sentimental moments such as the phenomenal toast given by the groom's son. There was not a dry eye in the house! The night was capped with a killer dance party and Dick's Drive In burgers as a late night snack!
